About the Film
At its heart, Danm is a psychological horror about a mother’s relentless love and grief. The film reimagines the Caribbean legend of La Diablesse—a seductive, cursed spirit who lures the unwary—placing her within the shadows of Trinidad’s colonial past. By blending folklore with history, the story offers a haunting and deeply emotional twist on a figure rarely seen in world cinema.
